“Free Cool” – Packaged Cooling Solutions

Weatherite Air Conditioning Ltd has been a leading force in designing and manufacturing innovative, high-quality, energy-efficient, and long-lasting cooling solutions for over 50 years. As part of their continuous development programme, they have recently introduced the first Rooftop ‘Free-Cool’ packaged air conditioning systems, utilising Hydrocarbon natural refrigerant. These have been installed at several stores of a leading UK retailer. This initiative aligns with the global drive to reduce energy usage and carbon emissions associated with ozone-depleting and global warming substances.

In addition to our ‘Free-Cool’ systems, Weatherite has been at the forefront of British manufacturing for over 15 years, delivering bespoke R290 refrigeration solutions. These systems use R290 (Propane) refrigerant, which has an impressively low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 3. R290 is more energy-efficient in high operating conditions than other natural refrigerants like CO2 and requires less compressor power, making it a cost-effective choice for both commercial and industrial applications. All systems come with integrated BMS-compatible controls for seamless operation and comply with Directive 2014-68-EU, PSR2016, and DSEAR, ensuring safety and reliability.

Weatherite’s commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility is evident in our development of these advanced cooling and refrigeration solutions. Whether you’re looking to reduce energy usage, lower carbon emissions, or explore cost-effective refrigeration options, our products and services offer a comprehensive solution.
